What things cost

Nothing, today. Every app on this site is open to use right now — no account, no trial, no payment, no paywalled features.

What I'm not doing is promising that forever. These are prototypes, and one that finds an audience may grow into something bigger, or into something paid. If that happens for a particular app it will be said plainly on the home page first, and anything already installed on your device keeps working.

The paid side

The Proto Tools add-ons for Unreal Engine and Blender are the finished, paid part of the lab, sold on FAB and Superhive. They are always labelled as such, and they have their own documentation — which also covers Proto ColorGen, the free browser tool that feeds the Proto Color workflow.

Ads and support

In future there may be optional ads on this website — never inside an app — and a Ko-fi link for anyone who wants to help fund the work. Neither exists yet.
