Senior Level & UX Designer

Available for freelance The Netherlands, Europe

I have been designing experiences for a while — close to a decade, of which 7+ years professionally. During my career I have been part of many award-winning projects like Riders Republic, Assassin's Creed VR and Off The Grid, at Ubisoft Annecy, Ubisoft Reflections and Gunzilla Games.

You could describe me as a Y-shaped designer. Next to my specialization in level design, my extensive knowledge in other fields like UX design and tool programming allows me to rapidly prototype my ideas, understand the project constraints and apply them to my designs more efficiently.

Trinh Labs is where that shows up as shipped work. It is a place to share what I make rather than a storefront — most of it is prototypes, built small on purpose, each one a test of whether restraint makes a tool worth keeping. The ones that prove themselves get built out properly.

Why the lab exists

Small jobs kept being handled by products that felt too heavy — language apps that bury pronunciation under gamification, journalling apps that ask for a paragraph when you wanted to log a mood, palette tools that stop at inspiration and never reach the pipeline.

So each app here starts from a specific piece of friction and gets built until that friction is gone, then stops. The scope stays small on purpose: a prototype does not have to become a platform to be worth keeping, and the ones that prove themselves are the ones that get built out properly.

That is also why the Proto Tools add-ons exist as a separate, paid line. They came out of the same habit — the difference is that they were worth finishing.
